Hanwha Group has acquired a 4.99 percent stake in Korea Aerospace Industries, Korea’s only aircraft original equipment manufacturer. The move is seen as part of Hanwha’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in aerospace, defense and space industries. By investing in KAI, Hanwha may seek closer cooperation in future aircraft, satellite, launch vehicle and defense-related projects.
